• Buyer activity still strong
  • Holidays slow listing numbers
  • Canberra powers on

Last weekend

Auction volumes were down week on week across the combined capital cities, with a total of 1,185 homes scheduled for auction. The lower activity which we have historically noted over school holiday periods, returned a preliminary clearance rate of 65.1%. This was higher than last week’s preliminary figure of 64.5% across a higher 1,485 auctions, which later revised down to 60.6% at final collection. Once again this week we saw auctions numbers and clearance rates ahead of what they were this time last year.

We broadcast the most comprehensive and up to date report on auction activity around Australia – powered by CoreLogic – every Friday and Monday exclusively on Realty Media’s Real Estate Talk.  See all our shows at Realty.com.au
